| Ecological impact assessment | |
| An ecological assessment is now an important requirement of many Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), especially for large scale developments and those affecting European protected species, such as bats, Dormouse and Great Crested Newt. In addition to identifying any significant ecological effects of a development, there may be a need to draw up management, mitigation and restoration plans. Ecological impact assessments are carried out following IEEM best practice guidelines. |
